He didn't even know his name when he gave him the keys.
Todd Steinkamp knew he might be in trouble when he heard a loud noise coming from his tire on the way to a funeral on Monday morning.
Steinkamp, an Iowa resident, was driving to the Wisconsin for the funeral of his boss’ wife, almost 400 miles away, when he had to pull over and try to find a mechanic at 7 a.m. just 70 miles from his destination.

That’s when he ran into 74-year-old Glenn Geib, who’s a mechanic. Geib, however, quickly figured out there was a problem with the wheel bearing on Steinkamp's car and it would take hours repair.
Steinkamp didn’t have that kind of time.
"I had kind of given up hope and that’s when Glenn reached into his pocket and pulled his keys out into his own vehicle," Steinkamp told InsideEdition.com.
Geib gave over his truck to help Steinkamp make it the rest of the way.
“He was stuck and he looked very distraught. He was very tired and didn’t know what to do. I called a dealer about 20 miles from here and nothing was available so I handed him my keys and said take my truck and he looked at me dumbfounded,” Geib told InsideEdition.com.
Geib said when he gave Steinkamp his keys, he didn’t even know his name.
Steinkamp hesitated but eventually went on his way in Geib’s 99’ Chevrolet Silverado.
When Steinkamp arrived, many at the funeral were wondering why he was driving a pick up with emergency lights.
"I told the story and by the time the funeral was done and the luncheon was done the word had spread around there and what was a somber day had a little bit of levity to it because of this incident," Steinkamp said.
