Woman Throws Goodbye Party 'Tata to My Tatas' After She's Diagnosed With Breast Cancer

She had her surgery on Wednesday.

Andy Sealy found out that she had breast cancer earlier this year, but she hasn’t let the diagnosis get her down.

The 37-year-old threw a goodbye party for her breasts “Tata to My Tatas” last Sunday in Philadelphia as a last hoorah before her Wednesday surgery to have both breasts removed.

“I have a group of girlfriends that we all have a group chat. I am not one to a big deal about of things. I was like I want to have a goodbye party for my boobs. These ones have been so good to me,” Sealy told InsideEdition.com.

Sealy had breast implants done in 2007.

“My doctor did a fantastic job,” Sealy said.

In November 2016, however, Sealy felt a lump on one of her breasts and called the doctor. While she was waiting for her appointment date, she found a second one.

Doctors eventually found a third lump and after a mammogram and ultrasound, they let her know that two of the tumors in her left breast were malignant. It was then Sealy made the decision to have both breasts removed.

“I was caught off guard. It just felt surreal. I was telling people I am sick and I don’t feel sick. The first thing that crossed my mind was how do I tell people,” Sealy said. “The party was just me saying goodbye to my boobs and everyone could feel the tumor and see what cancer is like.”

Sealy’s surgery on Wednesday went well but doctors said the cancer spread so she may have to have chemotherapy in the future.

“It was a little bit of a curveball,” Sealy said.

But, she also said she is going to keep her sense of humor.

“It’s just who I am. I don't ever think I am a worrier. It’s something you can’t control why worry about it. I am not dead,” she added.
