Angela Delaney, 58, was arrested after police say she illegally and haphazardly parked outside of a jail.
An Indiana woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated after she illegally and haphazardly parked outside of a jail before trying to post bond for a friend, officials said.
Angela Delaney, 58, allegedly left her 2005 Dodge Neon illegally parked outside the Gibson County Sheriff’s office at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday, authorities said.
Deputies responding to a call at the sheriff's office of an intoxicated woman trying to bond out an inmate launched a “jail-side” investigation and determined that Delaney was allegedly under the influence.

Delaney was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated. She was also issued a ticket for driving with a suspended license.
She remained in custody Monday on $650 bond.

It was unclear why her friend had been in jail.
“She was not able to bond out the inmate,” the sheriff’s office said.
Authorities across the state cracked down on drunken driving Saint Patrick’s Day weekend by establishing checkpoints and increasing patrols.
