Witnesses said Chris Soules was picked up in a red truck after walking away from the scene.
Cops are searching for the driver who helped Bachelor Chris Soules flee the scene of the fatal crash in Iowa Monday night.

Witnesses told police that Soules was picked up in a red Chevy Duramax truck that fled the scene — and cops gave chase — but the driver got away.
It occurred at about 8:30 p.m., when Soules was driven to his family's farm. When police arrived, he refused to come out, said Buchanan County Sheriff Bill Wolfsgram.
Wolfsgram added that the reality competition was actually how authorities knew where to start looking for him.
“When he was in The Bachelor they did a lot of filming in that area, so the sheriff’s deputies knew where he might be at and he was located.”
Since the investigation is ongoing, the sheriff would not say whether Soules had been drinking and waited to leave the house so the alcohol, if any, could get out of his system.

At 1:30 a.m., the deputies obtained an arrest warrant and Soules was taken into custody.
Now, cops want to know if Soules was distracted when the accident took place that ended in the death of 66-year-old farmer Kenny Moshler.
Police have seized Soules' cell phone and are reportedly looking at his social media activity. He's known for posting pictures of country roads at sunset, which is the approximate time of accident.
All his social media profiles have since been deleted.
"My family and I are overwhelmed with this tragedy, but we are sticking together and we'll get through it," Soules said in a statement earlier this week.
