He was taken to the Palm Beach County Jail and booked at 7:18 a.m. before being released on his own recognizance at 10:50 a.m., according to online booking records.
Woods' rep did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Monday.
Woods has a home on Jupiter Island with its own golf course, spa, tennis court and 100-foot lap pool.
The golfing legend, who has won 14 majors between 1997 and 2008, has failed to play in any recent major tournaments after suffering a back injury, but he underwent surgery in April and has vowed to return to the sport.
"I want to say unequivocally, I want to play professional golf again," he said in a statement last week.
"Presently, I'm not looking ahead... Right now, my sole focus is rehab and doing what the doctors tell me. I am concentrating on short-term goals."
