A body language expert has examined former FBI Director James Comey’s appearance and expressions during his historic testimony Thursday.

Dr. Lillian Glass watched as Comey testified, noting that his stoic disposition changed when he addressed the FBI in a proper farewell.
"This is a very personal statement," she told Inside Edition. "He is very hurt when talking about his colleagues at the FBI.
"You see a subtle, but significant difference because his eyes widen. There is a glimmer in his eyes. There is a glistening in his eyes."
It was a media frenzy as the 6-foot-8-inch Comey strode into the hearing room, with Americans flocking to viewing parties across the nation to watch the drama unfold.
One D.C. viewing party enjoyed an “FBI Breakfast,” consisting of French toast (F), bacon (B) and ice cream (I). Another came up with a “Covfefe Cocktail,” after President Trump's mystery tweet two weeks ago.
The hearing kicked off with pure drama as Comey alleged that the Trump administration "chose to defame me.”
Trump later spoke at the Faith and Freedom Coalition Thursday, saying: “They will lie, they will obstruct, they will spread their hatred and their prejudice. But we will not back down from doing what is right."
In a press conference that followed the Comey hearing, Trump’s personal attorney, Marc Kasowitz, said: “The president never in form or substance, directed or suggested, that Mr. Comey stop investigating anyone.”
Comey also revealed what the president once whispered to him in footage of them shaking hands.
“You've seen the picture of me walking across the blue room and what the president whispered in the ear was, ‘I really look forward to working with you,'" he recalled.

And there was a moment of comedy when Comey revealed he broke a date with his wife after the president invited him to the White House for a private dinner.
“In retrospect, I love spending time with my wife,” he said. “I wish I had been there that night.”
