A goat has been brought back to the ground safely after he was stuck on a mountain ledge for more than a week.

Animal rescue team RSPCA Cymru said they had been watching the Great Orme goat on a 100 feet high ridge in Llandudno, a coastal city in northern Wales.
It had become clear to the team the young male goat needed rescuing when “he had eaten all available food,” the RSPCA’s Mike Pugh said in a statement.
After careful discussion with a local park ranger, a team of six made their way up the steep cliff to retrieve the goat.
“This was a complex rescue, as it was imperative to ensure the goat was calm enough so he didn’t panic and dangerously jump off the towering ledge,” Pugh said.

A member of the team was able to grab the goat by the horns while another loaded the animal in a bag. They then carefully scaled the mountain until they were able to release the goat safely on the ground.
“Thankfully, the goat was completely unharmed after the ordeal of getting caught,” Pugh said.
