"She wanted to make her entrance, she made it," the proud mother joked.
As Hurricane Harvey ravaged parts of Texas, one mother in Corpus Christi went into labor at a most inopportune time.
Isabel Pena said she began to feel labor pains Saturday as the region was slammed by the storm, and there was no time to get to a hospital.

So at about 3 a.m. Saturday, Pena gave birth inside her home in almost complete darkness, with the only light coming from cell phones.
When the baby came, she wasn’t breathing at first, but paramedics arrived just in time to save her life.
“We had her and she wasn't breathing for like two minutes and then the paramedics arrived and they got her to start breathing,” Pena told Inside Edition.
The EMTs were eventually able to safely transport the mother and her child to the hospital. They were treated and have since been doing fine.
The baby, Kataleya Rose, weighed six pounds and nine ounces at birth.
"She wanted to make her entrance — she made it,” Pena joked.
