Glenna Duram was convicted in July of killing her husband, Martin Duram.
The Michigan woman who killed her husband, purportedly with their pet parrot as the sole witness, has been sentenced to life in prison.
Glenna Duram, 49, of Sand Lake, was sentenced Monday after a jury found her guilty of first-degree murder and a felony firearm charge in July.

Martin Duram, 46, was shot five times and killed in May 2015.
Glenna Duram suffered a head wound in what prosecutors later said was a failed suicide attempt.
The parrot, named Bud, was sent to live with Duram’s ex-wife, Christina Keller, who became convinced that the bird had witnessed Glenna shooting Marty.
She claimed the bird screeched, "Don’t f---ing shoot!"
Bud was also heard screaming, “No! No!” in a voice that resembled Marty’s, his ex-wife said.
The bird’s ranting prompted speculation that Bud could somehow be called to testify, but prosecutors said that wouldn’t happen.
As it turned out, prosecutors wouldn't need Bud, as Glenna was convicted of first-degree murder after a Newaygo County jury deliberated for eight hours.
The bird will continue to live with Keller.
Glenna Duram’s attorney plans to appeal.
