The Duchess of Cambridge is suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum in her third pregnancy.
England's Prince George reached a milestone this week when he donned a uniform and showed up to his first day of school.
Unfortunately, proud mama Kate couldn't make it to the special occasion.
Pregnant with her third royal baby, the Duchess of Cambridge is reportedly suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum and was simply too ill.
Kate is currently less than 12 weeks pregnant. She suffered from the condition, an extreme form of morning sickness, during both of her previous pregnancies.
George is attending Thomas's Preparatory School, a private institution in South West London that costs more than $25,000 per year.
The 4-year-old's teachers and classmates will refer to him as George Cambridge, but he'll soon be the Dancing Prince as ballet classes are compulsory at the school.
The Duke and Duchess' decision to send George to the coed institution breaks with royal tradition that would have seen him attend an all-boys school.
Notable Thomas's alumni include model Cara Delevingne and Florence and the Machine singer Florence Welch.

"Today Prince George began his first day at the school in Battersea. The Duke of Cambridge accompanied his son on his first day – as his mother, The Duchess of Cambridge remains unwell," Kensington Palace said in a statement Thursday.
Their Royal Highnesses were met by the Head of Lower School on arrival, before The Duke took Prince George inside to his reception classroom, the statement said.
