Teacher With Playboy Past Regrets Losing Job Over Nude Photos

INSIDE EDITION spoke exclusively to Cristy Dewesse about how her Playboy modeling career cost her a job as a high school Spanish teacher.

Cristy Dewesse is the teacher whose past as a Playboy model got her fired. Dewesse is speaking out for the first time about the scandal that cost her dream job.

She was 18 when she posed for Playboy, that was two years ago. She did it to help pay for college and even talked about her dreams of becoming a teacher in a Playboy  video.

INSIDE EDITION’s Paul Boyd asked, “You wanted to have a career in teaching, why take these risqué photos with Playboy, of all magazines?”

Dewesse responded, “I didn't think it would have this affect on me.”

She was named Playboy's co-ed of the month in February 2011 and posed for dozens of naughty pictures. But she says she was told that the photos would only be published on Playboy's website and viewed only by paying subscribers.

“I never thought my students would be able to find them,” she said.

Dewesse said she stopped modeling one full year before she applied for any teaching job and deleted all the websites and pictures from the internet, but not all of the photos disappeared. Sure enough, one of her students at school found some of the photos and they circulated like wildfire.

She said, “They sent out mass text messages posted the pictures on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.”

Some parents at the school were outraged and wanted her fired. But her students rallied around her, starting a petition, "Petition To Save Ms. Dewesse,” it was signed by 300 students. But it wasn't enough, she was terminated.

She said, “Everything that I had spent so much time working on was gone.”

Now, that her dream of a teaching career is over, she plans to return to modeling and already has several jobs lined up.

Boyd asked, “The modeling career may be back on?”

She said, “If it was my decision, I would have continued to teach. I won't be able to do that and its really sad.”
