Chelsea Clinton announced that she is expecting her first child. INSIDE EDITION has more.
Chelsea Clinton is pregnant!
Here's what she said at a Clinton Foundation event in New York late Thursday with her mother, Hillary beaming at her side.
"Marc and I are very excited that we have our first child arriving later this year," Chelsea announced.
Chelsea and her husband Marc Mezvinksy say they don't know if it's a boy or a girl.
She tweeted: "Marc and I are so thrilled to be expecting our first child in the fall. Thank you for all the kind words."
The couple was married in a lavish ceremony in 2010 and Chelsea had already declared 2014 to be the year of the baby and said she was feeling the heat from her parents to produce a grandchild.
"From my parents there is completely unapologetic pressure. In private and in public," said Chelsea.
She recently told Rachel Ray that her parents would say: 'It's about time!'
"They would tell you without blinking an eye that it would make them the happiest thing on earth if I were to make them grandparents, and they would say it so effusively, and I would feel a little bit of pressure," said Chelsea.
Rumors of a pregnancy surrounded Chelsea when she appeared with Jimmy Falon on March 20th with a bit of a baby bump evident. Hillary fueled the pregnancy buzz at an event in February. And former President Clinton told David Letterman that Hillary was desperate to become a grandmom.
Former President George W. Bush's daughter, Jenna Bush-Hager who has a year-old daughter tweeted her congratulations: "Welcome to the best club in the world. Mamahood is wonderful."
