Cleveland House of Horrors victims Amanda Berry and Gina DeJesus were honored at a recent ceremony, but third victim, Michelle Knight was not. INSIDE EDITION has the story.
Two victims from Cleveland’s House of Horrors were honored during an emotional ceremony. Gina DeJesus stood next to a tearful Amanda Berry.
Berry said, “I want to thank the center for everything they've done for us and for the other famlies.”
But where was the third victim, Michelle Knight?
She was apparently not invited to the event sponsored by the Center for Missing and Exploited Children. They say it's because she was 21 years old at the time of her abduction, and therefore not a child.
Reports of a rift between Knight and her two fellow captives are gathering steam.
INSIDE EDITION’s Megan Alexander asked her this week, “Do you still keep in touch with Amanda and Gina?”
Knight said, “Well, right now we are healing in our own ways. We are trying to overcome certain obstacles and being around each other right now is really not good. Eventually, later on in life, I hope we can get together."
Knight is on the cover of the new People magazine and proudly showing off her new tattoos. One shows a dragon. One tattoo on her wrist covers scars from the chains Ariel Castro used to keep her captive for more than a decade.
One possible source of tension is they have competing books coming out. Knight’s, called Finding Me, was published this week. Berry’s and DeJesus’ are out later this year.
Berry at the ceremony said, "If I could say one thing, it would be to never give up hope. Because miracles do happen.
Three women forever linked together, but apparently going on different paths in life."
