College graduates were inspired by top politicians, sports figures and celebrities at commencement ceremonies around the country. INSIDE EDITION reports.
Jay Leno said he wanted to give practical advice as he addressed grads at his alma mater, Emerson College, in Boston.
Leno said, "Anybody can have a life, careers are hard to come by. Don't have a relationship with a partner who doesn't get it. Next! Move on. That person is not for you. It's not going to work. You need a soul mate, not a cell mate, okay?"
Secretary of State John Kerry congratulated students at the Yale University graduation ceremony while getting in a jab at Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling.
Kerry said, "You are graduating today as the most diverse class in Yale's long history. Or, as they call it in the NBA, Donald Sterling's worst nightmare."
Denver Broncos quarterback, Peyton Manning spoke at the at the University of Virginia about always wanting to throw a football on the quad when he was dating his wife, who was a student there. He finally got the opportunity, and tossed a football to her in the crowd.
And he's been called "Sean Combs", "Puffy Daddy" and "P. Diddy", but after the honorary doctorate he received from Howard University, he might be changing his name yet again, saying, "Only this family could take one of its sons who's had three name changes, alright, and give him a forth—Dr. Combs!"
