INSIDE EDITION spoke to Fred and Kim Goldman about the 20th anniversary of the O.J. Simpson trial and their feelings today.
It’s a lingering mystery from the O.J. Simpson case—What was inside the garment bag that lawyer Robert Kardashian, Kim's dad, took from Simpson’s home the day after the murders?
Fred Goldman, whose son, Ron was murdered alongside Nicole Brown Simpson, believes the bag may have contained the bloody murder knife, which to this day has never been found. When the bag eventually surfaced, it was empty.
Fred told INSIDE EDITION, “It's astonishing to think that key evidence would be in there. Astonishing.”

Robert Kardashian, a member of the so-called “Dream Team” of defense lawyers who got Simpson off, died of cancer in 2005, long before his children shot to reality TV fame on Keeping Up with the Kardashian’s. He took the secret of the bag to the grave.
Ron's sister, Kim told INSIDE EDITION, “We received a call a handful of years ago, saying they had a bag with a note that said, 'When I die give this to the Goldmans.'"
INSIDE EDITION’s Les Trent asked Fred, “Did you ever get that bag?”
“No,” he replied.
Trent asked, “Do you believe Robert Kardashian knew who murdered Ron and Nicole?”
Fred said, “Not only did he know, no question the whole defense all knew. These were bright men. These weren't dummies.”
In restaurants and bars across America, people were transfixed by the trial.
A new documentary called, O.J. Trial of the Century, premiering Thursday at 9 p.m. on the cable network Investigation Discovery, tells the story of the case.
Trent said, “Marcia Clark was confident, cocky about the strength about her case."
Kim said, "She should have been. They had an enormous amount of evidence pointing to one person's guilt.”
But Simpson’s “Dream Team” would prove to be a formidable opponent. Footage in the documentary shows Johnnie Cochran receiving a special blessing at church the day before the trial began.
The documentary also features a disturbing 911 call that the jury that acquitted Simpson never got to hear.
In the 911 call, a distraught Nicole Brown Simpson had a violent confrontation with her estranged ex-husband, saying, “He's [expletive] going nuts. He's going to beat the [expletive] out of me. He's back. Please.”
911 Operator: “Ok. What does he look like?”
Nicole: “He's O.J. Simpson. I think you know his record. Could you just send somebody over here?”
911 Operator: “What is he doing there?”
Nicole: “First of all, he broke the back door down to get in.”
In the call, O.J. could be heard yelling in the background.
911 Operator: “Is he inside right now?”
Nicole: “Yes.”
911 Operator: “Does he have any weapons?”
Nicole: “I don't know.”
It is insight into O.J.’s state of mind that might have swayed the jury.
Twenty years later, the verdict still packs the same gut punch for the Goldmans.
Trent said, “You look pissed off today.”
Fred replied, “Without question, I look at his face when he is found he is not guilty, and I think 'You S.O.B. You just found out you got away with murder.'"
For the Goldmans, the passing years have done nothing to diminish the pain of losing their son and brother.
Kim said, “There’s no difference to me from the first year to the fifth to the 25th. Living without my brother is painful regardless of how many years go by.”
