INSIDE EDITION spoke to the world's oldest yoga teacher, a 96-year-old woman who is inspiring lives everyday.
It might look like your average yoga class, but one instructor is not your average teacher.
At 96, Tao Porchon-Lynch is the oldest known living yoga teacher in the world. She teaches six classes a week at yoga studios outside New York City and even drives to work on her own.
Her students are in awe.
One student said, “I don't know anyone like her. She travels, she carries her own bag. She goes around everywhere in three-inch heels.”
She started doing yoga when she was in her 20’s and has been teaching for 56 years. She has impressive moves! She can contort her legs into a pretzel and the nonagenarian can nimbly bring her legs over her head.
So how did she find the fountain of youth?
“There is no such verb as ‘I can’t.’ The verb is to be able, and that's the only thing that interests me. Don't tell me what I can't do. I'm just interested in what I can do,” she said.
