INSIDE EDITION is talking to the internet’s latest viral sensation, the cop who was caught lip synching to Taylor Swift’s “Shake it Off.”
He's the cop they call the "Shake it off-icer."
Nearly 21 million people have laughed out loud as Master Corporal Jeff Davis grooved to the Taylor Swift hit in his police cruiser.
INSIDE EDITION's Les Trent met up with up with Davis, who showed him the technique that made him a YouTube star.
He demonstrated, "You got to start off with a little head bob."
Trent's attempt didn't go so well.
Davis told him, "If you're going to do it, you got to do it rght."
Davis says the video was produced as a good-will exercise by the Dover Delaware Police, where he has been an officer for 19 years.
In the video you can see Davis was hamming it up. Suddenly he spotted someone he knew and went all straight-laced, then got back in the groove when the coast was clear.
Davis was introduced to the song by his 10-year-old daughter, Gabrielle, who's a huge fan of Taylor Swift in her high energy music video.
He was still grooving as he was driving away from the INSIDE EDITION offices.
As Taylor Swift would say, he's just gonna shake shake shake.
