An intense case of road rage was caught on video when one woman lashed out at another woman with her little granddaughter in the car. INSIDE EDITION has the story.
It's a freakout that would terrify any adult, but this woman's tirade was witnessed by a six-year-old in the back seat.
The little girl could be heard screaming.
Sherri Norman shot the video of the grey SUV as she was driving her granddaughter, Destiny, on a rainy highway in North Carolina.
INSIDE EDITION's Les Trent asked Norman, "What happened before you started rolling video?"
Norman answered, "She was tailgating. I looked up in my rear-view and all I saw was the hood of her truck."
After the SUV overtook, at one point, it almost went off the road. The driver also kept braking unexpectedly.
Norman can be heard in the video saying, "Wish I had another phone, somebody call 911."
While her granddaughter asked, "Why? Grandma?"
Norman then answered, "'Cause this person in front of me is being a real character right now. She tried to slam into me when we were going through the 35-mile-an-hour speed zone, I guess that wasn't too fast for her."
Her granddaughter asked, "She tried to wack you?" Her grandmother responded, "Yep."
Then the SUV stopped, the driver leapt out of her vehicle, and headed straight to Norman and her granddaughter. The woman turned to give a rude fairwell gesture.
Norman was recorded on the phone during the incident saying, "I've got a driver in front of me that is just...oh, she's lost it. She just came over, banged on my window, pulled my strap on my seat belt. I have video."
Brianna Thompson, little Destiny's mother, can hardly bear to watch the video. She said, "I get enraged, personally. Absolutely enraged."
Cops say the SUV driver in North Carolina turned herself in after her image was posted on the police department's Facebook page.
