When a groom broke up with his bride-to-be, she trashed her wedding dress for all to see. Now, the groom is telling his story to INSIDE EDITION.
It was a shocking sight, a bride trashing her wedding dress!
Shelby Swink's fiancé called off their wedding just five days before the big day. So, with the help of her bridesmaids, and even her parents, she decided there was only one thing to do- wreck the gown!
"I got together with my friends and I was like, look, I don't want anybody tip toeing around me. We're going to take this head-on because I don't want a pity party," she said.
But, what about the dude who left Swink at the altar? How could he do such a thing?
INSIDE EDITION's Steven Fabian asked him, "Why'd you call it off?"
His name is Bryan Hill. He and Shelby met in college and had been dating for three years before they got engaged and set the date.

Everything was ready, the guest list, the reception, and, of course, the dress! But then Hill called the whole thing off.
Now, for the first time, he revealed why he did it.
Hill said, "I wasn't going to be happy in the situation that we were in. I didn't think she was going to be happy, and, whether it was one, three, or five years later it ultimately would've ended up being something a lot uglier and maybe some kids would have been involved in there, and, I wouldn't want my kids or anyone's kids to have to go through divorce."
Swink was pretty upset, but trashing the dress did mend her broken heart.
"She did a number on it, though. I mean you can barely see any white on this thing." Fabian remarked.
The dress is now on display at a bridal shop in Memphis, but there are no hard feelings.
Fabian told Hill, "A lot of people are going to think she trashed you by trashing the dress."
He responded, "If that helps her then I'm all for it!"
