It's the video creating a national uproar over the arrest of a popular student-leader at the University of Virginia.
A stark photo of 20-year-old Martese Johnson shows blood pouring down his face. He needed ten stitches to close the gash on his forehead.
It happened outside an Irish pub in Charlottesville, Virginia. Students were out in force to celebrate Saint Patrick's Day.
At one point in the video, Martese Johnson can be heard shouting, "I go to UVA, you [expletive] racists! What the [expletive]? How did this happen?"
Officers from the Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control Department say the student was refused entry to the bar because he was suspected of carrying a fake ID. The arrest report says he became "very agitated and belligerent."
Johnson, who has "no previous criminal history," was charged with Obstruction of Justice Without Force, and Public Swearing or Intoxication.
Fellow students were seen out last night to support the popular junior who is a member of UVA's Prestigious Honor Committee.
He could be seen wiping away tears, his forehead was still battered and swollen.
Johnson said to his fellow students, "I beg for you guys, regardless of your personal opinions and the way you feel about subjects, to please respect everyone here - we are all part of one community."
His lawyer released this statement: "Martese is a smart young man with a bright future. He is absolutely devastated by [the] events."
At one point in the video, someone can be heard saying, "Hands up!"
That is part of the 'Hands Up, Don't Shoot' mantra following the death of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri. Johnson himself took part in one of those demonstrations.
