American Faces 12 Years in Jail for Bullets in Turks and Caicos

Tourists entering or leaving Turks and Caicos face prison time for possessing firearms or ammunition, as Valerie and Ryan Watson of Oklahoma are finding out. Ryan was left behind from their dream vacation awaiting a bail hearing for carrying four rounds of ammunition in his carry-on luggage. Turks and Caicos Islands are a British territory. The U.S. Embassy has warned tourists that gun laws there say being caught with guns or bullets comes with a minimum sentence of 12 years behind bars.
