How Did an Endangered Hawaiian Goose End Up in California?

April 23, 2024

Wildlife experts are wondering how four endangered geese ended up in Southern California. Nene, also known as Hawaiian Geese, are native to the Hawaiian Islands and are the state’s bird. With conservation and breeding programs, their numbers are up to about 3,800.
