It was Donald and Melania Trump's first White House Halloween, and the costumes did not disappoint.
One kid clearly stood out as the president and first lady greeted children on the South Lawn of the White House Monday for Halloween festivities — a little girl dressed as the first lady.
As President Trump and wife Melania handed out candy to the kids, one young girl approached while donning a cap that read “FLOTUS,” sneakers, a white shirt and black jeans. The look was similar to that of the first lady when she landed in Texas to visit Hurricane Harvey victims.
The first lady grinned and appeared to enjoy the costume as she handed the young girl candy.
Also in line to meet the first couple was a young boy dressed as Donald Trump with a red “Make America Great Again” hat, long red tie and blue suit.
The same boy would later be photographed standing on a man’s shoulder who was dressed as a headstone with the phrase: “R.I.P. The Swamp” and the dates, Nov. 8, 1932-Nov. 8, 2016. On the back of the headstone read the phrase “We Hardly Knew Ye” and featured the names Hillary Clinton, Bob Corker, CNN, Jeff Flake and “Obama’s Legacy.”
Other guests in line were dressed as soldiers, dinosaurs, pirates, princesses and gangsters.
