Social Media Rips Adam Sandler for Repeatedly Touching 'The Crown' Star's Knee During Interview

The "Happy Gilmore" star twice put his hand on Claire Foy's knee, causing her to brush it off.

Adam Sandler claims he was just being friendly when he grabbed the knee of actress Claire Foy during a live TV interview.

The incident took place during a recent appearance on The Graham Norton Show in the U.K., while the Saturday Night Live alum was seated between Foy and Emma Thompson.

As Sandler was telling a story, he patted Foy’s knee and she could be seen cringing. When he did it a second time, Foy brushed his hand away while Thompson shot a disapproving look.

The Punch Drunk Love star was blasted on social media, with some calling him "a lech!"

But Foy has come to Sandler's defense, saying the gesture caused "no offense.”

“We don’t believe anything was intended by Adam’s gesture, and it has caused no offense to Claire,” a spokeswoman for The Crown actress told the Daily Mail.

As it turns out, the knee-touching is a habit with Sandler, and he has done it to men as well in previous interviews.

Three weeks ago, he put his hands on Dustin Hoffman’s knee when they appeared on The Tonight Show together promoting their new film, The Meyerowitz Stories, which also stars Emma Thompson.

Meanwhile, more actresses are coming forward with horror stories about disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein.

Annabella Sciorra, best known for her roles in The Sopranos and The Hand That Rocks The Cradle, says she was “brutally raped” by Weinstein in the early 1990s.

She told The New Yorker that the producer forced his way into her New York apartment and raped her in 1992. She says she keeps a baseball bat by her bed to this day because of the incident.

Rose McGowan says she was so traumatized after she was allegedly raped by Weinstein in 1997 that she went into hiding for months.

Her first public appearance when returning to Hollywood was when she donned the infamous see-through gown at the 1998 MTV Video Music Awards with her then-boyfriend Marilyn Manson

She is now revealing that the dress was a message to Weinstein, telling The New York Times: "I thought, You want to see my body? I did it with a giant middle finger."

Weinstein denies any allegations of non-consensual sex.
