Stormy Daniels Honored With a Key to the City of West Hollywood

She was praised for taking on President Trump.

Former adult film star Stormy Daniels has been awarded a key to the City of West Hollywood and praise for taking on President Trump.

"In these politically tumultuous times, Stormy Daniels has proven herself to be a profile in courage by speaking truth to power even under threats to her safety and extreme intimidation from the current administration," officials announced Wednesday.

Daniels accepted the token with a joke.

"I’m not really sure what the key opens," she said. "I’m hoping it's the wine cellar."

In a more serious tone, she added, "The City of West Hollywood is a truly special place very close to my heart, and I would like to thank Mayor John Duran and the entire West Hollywood City Council for this incredible honor."

West Hollywood, which abuts Beverly Hills, was incorporated in 1984 on the issues of gay rights and rent control.

Daniels, who claims to have had an affair with Donald Trump and was paid $130,000 to stay silent about the alleged tryst, has come forward with her story.

"She's gonna go down in history as a courageous woman who stood up for what she believed in," her attorney, Michael Avenatti, told Inside Edition.
