EXCLUSIVE: Leathers tells Inside Edition that she expects Donald Trump to use the documentary in his battle against Hillary Clinton.
Huma Abedin stood by husband Anthony Weiner’s side after it was revealed he had exchanged raunchy photos and texts with Sydney Leathers – using the now-infamous nickname "Carlos Danger."
Leathers spoke exclusively to Inside Edition about growing speculation that Donald Trump is planning to dredge up the sexting scandal all over again because Abedin is often regarded as Clinton’s closest confidante – almost like a second daughter.
Leathers said: "I do think Trump will use the documentary as ammo but I really don't think it is good ammunition. I don't think there is much there to attack Hillary on. I understand that Huma is her top aide, but she is not the one who did anything wrong. It was her husband.

"Hillary would know what it is like to have a husband who did something wrong. I really don't think it is going to make much of a difference."
The forthcoming documentary, Weiner, is a behind-the-scenes look at Weiner’s failed run for mayor of New York City in 2013.

In the documentary trailer, Leathers can be seen fleeing photographers at the height of the scandal.
"Looking back, I feel like I had PTSD from it. It was a really strange situation," she said.
Now the 3-year-old scandal could impact the race for The White House.
"I don't know how effective it will be, but why not? [Trump] can bring it up if he wants to," Leathers said.
Weiner hits theaters on May 20.
