Texas High School Football Player ‘Adopted’ by Teammate’s Family

Stone Earle was in eighth grade when Laderrious Mixon, originally from Alabama, moved in with his family. The boys are now juniors at Birdville High School in Texas. Stone’s dad first met Laderrious in a youth group at the church where he works as a pastor. Laderrious’ mother moved him to Texas so he could have better opportunities, but when his living situation didn’t pan out, he was left with a dilemma.
