Chanco made her debut on Japanese television earlier this week.
Chanco has a thick head of hair, 300,000 Instagram followers, and as of this month, a modeling career. With all these accomplishments, it’s hard to believe she’s only just celebrated her first birthday.
The Japanese baby with luscious locks made her television debut as a model for Pantene Japan, and starred in an adorable animation about her life.
“Even when I was in my mommy’s tummy, I had lots of hair growing,” says the narrator in the digital short, The Hairy Tale, shared by Pantene. “Sway, sway, swaying… just like seaweed under the ocean.”
But the family didn’t need an official modeling contract to know Chanco is a natural in front of the camera.
“She loves it,” her mom, Mami Kano, told InsideEdition.com. “When I point a camera to her, she immediately starts smiling.”
Chanco has always had a full head of hair, and became an immediate viral hit when she was just 4 months old when her mom posted her first photo on Instagram.
“I started sharing pictures on Instagram because she was my first baby, and everyone kept asking me how hair baby girl is doing every day,” Kano said.
Despite her internet fame, the baby girl is much like any other kid her age – except when it comes to her hair.
“She sometimes eats her own hair when she is eating her meal,” Kano said, adding that blow drying her daughter’s hair also takes up a big chunk of their day.
