10-Year-Old Delivers Hilarious Speech as Best Man at Dad's Wedding: 'We Go Way Back'

His mom helped him write the speech.

A Delaware dad was surprised by his 10-year-old son’s confidence as he delivered a witty speech as the best man at his wedding.

Kevin Rabatin said his son, Jaydon, had all of his best man duties down to a T as the father married his bride, Briana, last Sunday.

In a video captured of Jaydon’s speech, he had funny punchlines but also expressed approval of his dad’s new union.

“Don’t get me wrong — I love Brie — isn’t she the most beautiful bride?" Jaydon said. "But this means I’m losing my bachelor buddy. We go way back."

The 10-year-old also noted that he is glad to see his dad happy and he realizes Briana, his new stepmom, has a much to do with it.

“We have many new memories and adventures to make together and I truly look forward to it,” Jaydon added. “There is nothing more important as a son than to see my dad happy and that’s what he is when he is with Brie. Thank you for making my dad happy.”

Jaydon’s speech was met with both laughter and emotion.

“He did a great job," Rabatin said. "I was nervous for him. I tried to give him a pep talk before the wedding."

But apparently the 10-year-old didn’t need it.

Jaydon’s mom had helped him write the speech, but the dad said all of the thoughts were Jaydon’s own.

The newlyweds said they had no idea about the speech until days before the wedding, but they loved the surprise.

“He was the star of the show pretty much,” Rabatin said.

Briana said she is looking forward to them being a family.
