Joni Mitchell Reportedly in Good Spirits in Intensive Care

"Light a candle and sing a song, let's all send good wishes her way."

Folk legend Joni Mitchell was rushed to the hospital after being found unconscious at her Bel-Air, California, mansion.

Paramedics were called to her home around 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Her website says Mitchell is: "Currently in intensive care undergoing tests and is awake and in good spirits. Light a candle and sing a song, let's all send good wishes her way.”

Her official Twitter account also posted a series of tweets:

Joni has been hospitalized. We are awaiting official word on her condition and will post it here as soon as we know.

Joni is currently in intensive care in an LA area hospital but is awake and in good spirits. More updates to come as we hear them.

Some of her biggest hits from the 71-year-old singer include “Big Yellow Taxi,” “A Case of You,” and “Free Man in Paris.”

Joni Mitchell is an eight time Grammy winner and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997.
