One distraught fan even wrote a song with lyrics, "McDreamy I miss you. McDreamy why'd they kill you."
A lot of viewers who DVR'd the show are now upset that the storyline has been spoiled for them because McDreamy's demise is being talked about everywhere.
One tearful fan posted a video of herself saying, "Why would they do that? That's not ok. I'm not ok."
The show created its own eulogy for the deceased TV hunk, aptly ending with a slate that read: "In memory of Derek Shepherd 1966 to 2015."
