Vergara's Howard Stern appearance is making national news.
She added, "I totally understand him, but the thing is this - that fortunately and unfortunately there is law. You signed papers, legal papers, and if it was so serious for him, this issue, which I totally respect if it's serious for someone, then you should have taken it more serious at the time like I did."
Vergara says she doesn't want to have a child with someone she's not in a relationship with.
On Stern's show she added, "It needs a loving relationship of parents, you know, that get along that don't hate each other."
Robin Quivers asked, "You hate each other now?"
Vergara responded, "Well, I don't hate him. But, obviously he has a problem with me."
