Before Marilyn Mosby shot to fame for prosecuting the Freddie Gray case, she appeared on an episode of 'Judge Judy.'
Marilyn Mosby was poised and in-command in front of the world's cameras as she announced charges against six Baltimore cops in the Freddie Gray case.
The press conference brought her overnight fame, but it turns out she has appeared on national TV before under very different circumstances.

When she was a 20-year-old student, Marilyn appeared on Judge Judy.
It was January 2001 and Marilyn James, which is Mosby's maiden name, was suing her neighbor.
Judge Judy asked Marilyn, "Miss James, you go to college?"
"Yes," she responded.
She said the neighbor used her apartment while she was away on summer vacation without her permission.
Marilyn said, "I had cleaned my apartment before I left. My apartment was filthy."
She was poised and confident, even presenting Judge Judy with photos to make her case.
"This is the damage that was also done to my apartment," she added.
The ex-neighbor denied using the apartment. So, how did Judge Judy rule?
She said, "Justice for the plaintiff."
Yes, the future prosecutor won. She summed up her feelings, saying, "I feel like finally justice has been served."
Fourteen years later, she finds herself at the center of a case the whole nation is watching.
