The son of the prison employee who may have helped two inmates escape says his mom wasn't involved.
Joyce Mitchell son, Tobey, is defending his mom's honor, telling NBC News that reports that she was infatuated with escapee Richard Matt are not true.

“She definitely wouldn't have an affair against my father. And it definitely wouldn't be with an inmate. There's no truth to that,” he said.
Joyce ran the prison tailor shop, where the two fugitives worked for her, making uniforms.
“She is not the kind of person that's going to risk her life, or other people's lives to let these guys escape from prison,” said Tobey.
"When you're put in a situation where a family member's threatened, or other family members might be threatened, or at risk, you do a lot of things that you wouldn't think you'd do to protect your family. And in my family, family awlays comes first," he said.
"Were there threats?" asked NBC's Stephanie Gosk.
"I have no idea," said Tobey.
Gosk asked about reports that Joyce got cold feet at the last moment, checking into a hospital with a panic attack the night of the great escape.
"I just know that she was having severe chest pains and she was concerend about that," he said.
Police converged on the tiny town of Willsboro, New York, 35 miles from the prison on Tuesday after a reported sighting, but the fugitives appear to have slipped through the net.
We're learning more about how they pulled off their amazing escape. They first cut a hole in a cell and then spent at least a month exploring the maze of catwalks and pipes behind their cell wall.

The two killers used a piece of cardboard painted the same color as the walls to hide their plot.
“It surprised me that nobody told on them beforehand because they are given such incentives to tell on people,” said Michael Alig, who served 17 years in the Clinton Correctional Facility for manslaughter. Macauley Culkin played him in Party Monster, a movie about his life.
He said the noise of cutting through steel and brick may have been masked by, of all things, rap music.
“There's blaring music going ‘till three or five o’clock in the morning, and the music is so deafeningly loud it would cover anything,” said Alig.
He's troubled by reports that the men are becoming folk heroes. “I think a lot of people are kind of rooting for these guys,” he said.
But Richard Matt's former co-defendant told CNN just how evil the escaped killer can be. "If you wanted to take a picture of the devil, that's the face that you would see," he said.
One woman knows how evil they can be. She is the sister of a deputy sheriff who was shot to death by thirty-four-year-old David Sweat.
