The Show Will Go On! Donald Trump's Miss USA Pageant Will Still Air, Just Not With NBC

One day after NBC announced it is cutting ties with Donald Trump, the mogul announced the Miss USA pageant will still go on, just not with that network.

One day after NBC announced they are cutting ties with Donald Trump and will not air the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants, pageant officials said, "We are disheartened by recent events but the show will go on. We are moving forward, full-steam ahead as planned for the next two weeks, culminating in the crowning of a new Miss USA on July 12."

But it's unclear which TV network, if any, will air the show.

Brian Stelter, CNN's Sr. Media Correspondent host of Reliable sources told INSIDE EDITION, "Right now, it's risky for any broadcaster to be in business with Donald Trump. So as long as he owns half the pageant this is a very complicated scenario."

NBC severed its relationship with the presidential hopeful because of those bombshell comments about Mexican immigrants.

The network said in a statement: “Due to the recent derogatory statements by Donald Trump regarding immigrants, NBC is ending its business relationship with Mr. Trump.”

The annual Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants will no longer air on NBC.

Celebrity Apprentice will remain on NBC but without Donald Trump's participation. According to published reports a person of color is being "seriously considered" to head the boardroom.

The mogul reacted to the news while campaigning in Chicago on Monday and claimed it was he who cut ties with NBC and said, “As far as ending the relationship, I have to do that because my view on immigration is much different than the people at NBC.”

INSIDE EDITION caught up with comedienne Lisa Lampanelli at a charity event for "Voices For the Voiceless." She was a contestant on Celebrity Apprentice in 2012. She said, “I'm horrified, because honestly, NBC please! It's a show. It's a goofy show that's fake, it's a fake boardroom that's fake. I've been in it!”
