Sherry printed the letter on fabric from her wedding dress and gave it to Brooke, who had no idea it existed. The moment she read it was captured on camera by The Film Poets.
In the video, Sherry explains that she and her husband were unable to have children. They first adopted a son before Brooke joined the family 11 years later.
"Being adopted, I just wanted her to know how much we love her," she said in the video. "And I just thought it would be extremely precious when she opened it up and read it on her wedding day."
In the letter from 1994, she wrote: “We just want you to know how very much love and happiness you have brought to us. You have made us a truly great family. A little precious baby girl to me and Daddy and a baby sister to Brian.”
