Tom Clark and his wife of 68 years, Arnisteen, were both at a hospital in Georgia but could not bear to be apart so staff ensured they were reunited.
An elderly man has been moved to tears after hospital staff ensured he could be reunited with his sweetheart.
Tom Clark, 96, and his wife of 68 years, 92-year-old Arnisteen, were both at Piedmont Fayette Hospital in Georgia on an orthopedic floor, where all rooms are private.

The couple had never been apart except for when Tom was stationed in Korea with the Army, and hospital staff couldn't bear to see them apart.
So Tina Mann, a manager, organized for him to visit her every day.
Mr. Clark was overwhelmed by the kind gesture.
"I just can't be away from her, she's the finest woman in the world," Tom told the hospital staff through tears.

The hospital shared a photo of the couple holding hands to Facebook and it has since been shared more than 3,000 times.
In its Facebook post, the hospital added: "Here’s hoping for a speedy recovery for the Clarks and many more happy years together."
