Owen Labrie has been accused of raping a fellow student at a New Hampshire school, but he said it was consensual.
The teenager who broke down accusing former prep school student Owen Labrie of rape is now speaking out.

"I can now say that I am a survivor." she said in a just-released statement, following three days on the witness stand. INSIDE EDITION is protecting her identity.
Laura Dunn, who represents the 16-year-old girl's family, told INSIDE EDITION, “It was a very emotional moment. She was shaking like a leaf. She’s a very small 16-year-old girl, but she’s very brave.”
Labrie, wearing glasses and with dark hair, looked much different than in his mugshot, when his hair was streaked with light-brown highlights.
As the teen accuser left the witness stand, she could be heard crying to the prosecution team, "I'm so sorry." Her remark followed withering cross-examination by the defense attorney for 19-year-old defendant Labrie.
“She was actually apologizing because she lost composure. She was very much crying. She would apologize to the defense attorney,” said Dunn. “It’s just part of her nature.”
The school nurse also electrified the courtroom when she testified what the teenager told her two days after the alleged rape, saying that the girl told her the sex was consensual.

But the girl's mother told a starkly different story on the stand as she described a phone call made by her daughter:
“I was just trying to calm her down to understand what she was trying to tell me. She said, ‘Something bad has happened.’"
The incident happened in a locked room on the top floor of the science building at St. Paul's School in New Hampshire. It was during "Senior Salute," ritual where seniors allegedly compete to have sex with younger students.
Alumni are coming to the school's defense on social media. "It sounds like a shameful mess, but that doesn't mean we should be ashamed,” said one comment.
Another said: "Regardless of what the media may say, we will always find our way back to this beautiful place that has shaped the lives of so many."
