Nearly a year after Rihanna was beaten by ex-boyfriend Chris Brown, she's got a new boyfriend. But questions are now surfacing about her new beau, Los Angeles Dodgers centerfielder Matt Kemp.
They seem to adore each other. But disturbing new details about Kemp's past have come to light.
His ex-girlfriend, actress Felisha Terrell, obtained a temporary restraining order against Kemp, claiming he was "violent" towards her when they broke up in 2008.
"I feel very afraid for my safety," she told the judge.
Others say Terrell is lying. Lonnie Murray, Kemp's agent's assistant, says, "That is completely false; Matt never ever abused her or any other woman for that matter."
Terrell starred in the soap opera Days of Our Lives, and had a part in the movie Get Smart.
She later dropped the restraining order and Kemp's lawyer says the abuse claim was totally false. "He's just not that kind of person," the lawyer said of Kemp.
"Rihanna has absolutely no reason to be worried about Matt," Murray says.
