Thomas Young, 58, was sipping a Dr Pepper when he drove the truck about 600 feet through a grassy area and down an embankment before smashing into the dealership, according to The Associated Press.
April Williams said she was at the Hermitage Wal-Mart when she heard a loud crash and ran over to help the truck driver.
“He said that he was taking a drink, and he choked on whatever it was," Williams told WKBN. "It went down the wrong pipe, and he was choking and he said he was coughing so hard he literally couldn’t see anything and just lost control and hit the pole."
