Then the women and other rescuers formed a human chain to pluck children to safety from the vehicle.
In a video, women in pioneer clothing can only stand and watch as rescuers used bulldozers to clear the debris.
The dramatic rescue took place in the town of Hildale on the border of Utah and Arizona. It's the same town where disgraced polygamist Warren Jeffs once ruled like a king.
Jeffs was sentenced to life in 2011 after being convicted of sexually abusing girls. He had as many as 75 wives.
The deadly floods raging across Utah are now stoking fears among some in the state that doomsday is imminent. The date for the so-called “Armegeddon” is Sept. 28.

Matt Putnam, owner of a Utah store called Emergency Essentials, said there's been a run on supplies, leaving his shelves half-empty.
“We do our best to fill this every day. Sometimes it's just gone, almost instantaneously,” he told INSIDE EDITION.
