He was known as "Baby Zack," the world's biggest baby, after he was born weighing a whopping 10 pounds, 6 ounces. INSIDE EDITION caught up with Zack Strenkert to find out how he is doing today.
He became famous as the world's biggest baby....Zack Strenkert was a whopping 10 pounds, 6 ounces at birth. Since then he has just grown and grown.
Today "Baby Zack" is 15. He is well over six feet tall and he tips the scales at an astonishing 400 pounds!
He was born with a rare condition called Simpson-Golabi-Behmel syndrome. Basically, he just keeps growing.
At age three, Zack weighed 115 pounds...at four, he stood four feet tall and weighed 135 pounds.
Experts say he could grow to be seven feet tall, and a lifetime of growth spurts has taken its toll on the teenager.
"Is it hard for you to get around?" INSIDE EDITION's Les Trent asked him.
"A little bit," said Zack. "I do get tired easily."
But there's some good news. Zack told Trent, "I've lost fourteen pounds in two months!"
He hopes to be a lawyer one day...that is, if he doesn't get distracted from his studies.
"How's school?" asked Trent.
"School's been pretty good. I've actually had two girlfriends!" said Zack.
His mother Laurie is not surprised.
"The ladies love Zack! He's charming, he's funny, his heart is as big as his body," she said.
