A Florida man was arrested for DUI while in his motorized wheelchair because he was blocking traffic.
A Florida man was arrested this week for driving under the influence after cops say he was obstructing traffic while on his motorized wheelchair.

Ronny Scott Hicks, 54, already had two prior DUI convictions, none involving a wheelchair, when he was arrested in Palm Bay on Monday, cops said.
Police were called the scene after reports of an intoxicated man obstructing bridge traffic, according to reports.
When cops arrived, they said Hicks smelled of alcohol and had slurred speech. The man didn’t follow authorities’ instructions and refused a breathalyzer test, according to reports.

He was taken into custody and refused treatment for an open wound. He was held on $5,000 bond but released on Wednesday, according to his arrest records. No attorney was listed.
