A Texas woman was allegedly kidnapped by her murdered ex-boyfriend's sister and friends, who she said performed a blood ritual on her, police said.
A Texas woman who was allegedly kidnapped by her murdered ex-boyfriend’s sister and friends told police that she believed her abductors performed witchcraft on her and drugged her, officials told INSIDE EDITION Wednesday.
The 25-year-old woman was found screaming for her life inside a home on San Antonio’s West Side last month after she managed to call her mother for help, according to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.
The victim told police she was taken to a home on the 1100 block of Bluff Canyon by a group of people led by Mercedes Salazar, 32, whose brother Angel Salazar she used to date, police said. Angel Salazar had been recently found murdered and his sister and friend, James Cerda, suspected the victim was involved in the unsolved case, cops said.

Police say Mercedes Salazar, with the help of Cerda, Teanna San Nicholas and Tristan Smith, kidnapped the victim on September 6 and she was bound to a chair with plastic zip ties, at which time the victim claimed to have been “the subject of a blood ritual” and believed she was injected with heroin, police said.
Salazar's three alleged accomplices are pictured below in the order they were named.
“The victim is claiming that they performed a blood ritual on her and they did some kind of witchcraft, withdrew her blood and cut her hair,” a spokeswoman for the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office told IE.
Three days later, when San Nicholas was allegedly tasked with watching the woman while the others were out of the home, the victim convinced her to undo her binds so she could use the bathroom, eat and drink something and move around for a while, police said. Eventually San Nicholas fell asleep and the victim called her mom, cops said.

Deputies surrounded the home that had screams coming from inside, and they found the victim and San Nicholas, officials said. When they barged in, deputies allegedly found San Nicholas threatening the victim with a knife and scissors, the sheriff’s office said. The victim was not seriously injured.
Salazar was arrested early Sunday. She, Cerda and San Nicholas face aggravated kidnapping charges. Cerda was also charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle and parole violation. Smith was also arrested for kidnapping, the sheriff’s office said.
Prior to this incident, Salazar had been booked into the Bexar County Jail 11 times for 43 charges since she was 17, the sheriff’s office said.
It was not immediately clear if the victim was being looked at for any involvement in Angel Salazar’s murder.
