A Mississippi man wanted to smoke in a restaurant and was willing to kill a woman who stood in his way, police say.
A Mississippi man was arrested Friday after police say he gunned down a Waffle House waitress who told him to put out his cigarette.
Police say Johnny Mount, 44, was smoking inside the Biloxi restaurant around 1 a.m. when a waitress, identified only as "Julie," told him to put it out.
Mount allegedly then walked out to his car, retrieved a handgun, then shot the 52-year-old waitress in the head.

Julie was rushed to an area hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Mount, who was once a firefighter but hasn't been affiliated with the Biloxi Fire Department since 2006, was arrested in the restaurant, reports WLOX.
Per Sgt. Donnie Dobbs:
"The suspect was arrested on the scene. When officers arrived, he was still on scene and was taken into custody," said Dobbs.

Mount was charged first degree murder, and is being held at the Harrison County Adult Detention Center on a $2 million bond. He is awaiting his first court appearance, according to online records.
Waffle House corporate released the following statement:
"This senseless tragedy is a shock for the Waffle House family. Julie was a friend to many as well as a valued member of the Waffle House team. She will be greatly missed. Our prayers are with her family, friends, co-workers and customers."
