Gabriel Omogbo, a preacher in Maryland, is accused of attacking at least three call girls.
A hearing date has been set for a supposed preacher accused of attacking, robbing and raping escorts in hotels across Maryland.
Gabriel Omogbo, 33, has been scheduled to appear in court on January 8 for a preliminary hearing on the slew of charges brought against him, including attempted first-degree murder, armed robbery and first-degree assault, officials said.
Omogbo was arrested in July for allegedly attacking at least three call girls in two hotels about one mile from each other, according to a court document filed by prosecutors.
In one incident, Omogbo allegedly raped and robbed two escorts at the Best Western Hotel in Rockville, according to the statement of charges.
Then in July, he met with another prostitute at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, also in Rockville, the statement said. The woman told police he initially apologized for being late and after they had sex, he went into the bathroom to change and get cleaned up.

“When he came out of the bathroom, he was holding a fixed blade kitchen style knife with a non-serrated blade,” the statement said.
Omogbo allegedly told the woman to take off her clothes and said: “You are going to die today.”
He attacked the woman, punching her in the face and biting her arm, while she tried to fight her attacker off, the statement said. She sustained cuts on her arms, hands and legs, but she managed to wrestle the knife away from Omogbo and stabbed him in the stomach area, she told police.
“Why you shoot me,” he allegedly kept saying as he bled “considerably,” the statement said.
Omogbo tried to wipe up his blood with hotel towels and told the woman she should get in the bathtub to get cleaned up, but she refused, according to the statement.
He tried to give the woman a cup of water and then left, taking her iPad, pre-paid T-Mobile cell phone and $300 in cash, the court document alleges. He also took the knife, the woman told police.
Investigators allegedly matched the phone number Omogbo used to communicate with the women to a number on pawn records. He was also allegedly spotted in surveillance footage in both hotels.
When the man, who is from Nigeria but lives in Maryland, was brought in for questioning, it was noted that he had a puncture wound on his abdomen, the statement said.

“Omogbo stated it happened at work and it did bleed a lot but he did not need medical attention,” the statement said.
Omogbo was charged with attempted first-degree murder, armed robbery, assault, theft and reckless endangerment, officials said.
He claimed to serve as a preacher at an African Initiated Church, the Celestial Church of Christ in Riverdale, according to his Facebook page.
The church released a statement regarding Omogbo, saying: "We write to clarify that (Omogbo) is neither a pastor, minister, nor officer of Celestial Church of Christ."
The General Superintendent for the USA Diocese said that while Omogbo may have had an opportunity to preach at the church, "his name is not in any of our membership registers, and the atrocities and crimes imputed are completely anti- Celestial Church of Christ faith and doctrines."
According to the church's website, its members are forbidden from doing a number of things, including "commit adultery or fornication;" drink "alcohol, wine and smoke cigarettes;" eat "pork and crawling animals;" "merry-go-round at night;" and "wear red or black apparel, except for professional reasons."
“I have once watched ur video while preaching. U r such a motivational speaker. Nice one my brother keep it up. God bless u,” a friend commented on a photo of Omogbo speaking to a congregation.
Omogbo's attorney, Leon Gellar, declined to discuss the case with INSIDE EDITION.
"I deal with my cases in the court room," he said.
