Donald Trump called on Monday for all Muslims to be banned from visiting the United States.
Once again, Donald Trump opened his mouth and unleashed a firestorm.
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump called for all Muslims to be banned from the United States in a "total and complete shutdown."

The GOP frontrunner said his proposed barrier responds to the hatred by "large segments of the Muslim population" toward Americans.
The hotel baron made his comments in a statement released by his campaign. "Until we are able to determine and understand this problem and the threat it poses, our country cannot be the victims of horrendous attacks by people that believe only in jihad, and have no sense of reason or respect for human life," Trump's statement read.
Previously, Trump has said Muslims should be tracked in this country via a database, and that some American mosques should be closed.

It didn't take long for his Republican opponents to weigh in via Twitter:
"Donald Trump is unhinged," tweeted former Florida Governor Jeb Bush. "His 'policy' proposals are not serious."
Trump "has gone from making absurd comments being downright dangerous with his bombastic rhetoric," wrote Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina.

The bombastic candidate said his views countered the mass shootings last week in San Bernardino, California, where a husband-and-wife shooting team killed 14 people and injured 21.
Federal officials have said they are investigating the massacre as a terror attack.
Trump's remarks also follow a speech made last night by President Barack Obama, who warned against equating Muslims with religious fanatics.
"ISIL does not speak for Islam," the commander in chief said Sunday night in a rare address from the Oval Office. "They are thugs and killers, part of a cult of death, and they account for a tiny fraction of more than a billion Muslims around the world - including millions of patriotic Muslim Americans who reject their hateful ideology."
