A woman in India is naming her baby Uber, after giving birth to him in the back of cab on the way to the hospital.
A woman in India is naming her newborn son "Uber," after she ended up giving birth in the cab on her way to the hospital.
After making several unsuccessful phone calls for an ambulance, Babli called an Uber to take her to the hospital.

The driver, Shahnawaz, picked up the pregnant woman and her two female friends. They asked him to rush to Safdarjung Hospital, but en route, it became clear the baby was going to make its grand entrance before they got there.
Shahnawaz pulled over and Babli gave birth in the backseat of the car. Afterwards, the Uber driver rushed the mother and newborn baby to the hospital for care.
"The doctors asked if I was her husband. I narrated the entire incident after which they congratulated me. This was one of the happiest moment of my life," Shahnawaz told The Times Of India.

The woman’s family thanked the driver and asked him to pick a name for the child. Shahnawaz named the baby for the company he works for, Uber.
