“We are reviewing the matter,” NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy confirmed in an email to NBC's Pro Football Talk. “Our procedure is to follow up on any information that potentially involves a violation of this nature.”
Peyton is getting strong support from an unlikely ally, New England Patriots Quarterback Tom Brady.
Brady told Boston radio station WEEI: “I fully support Peyton. He's been one of the best players to ever play the game. Nobody has more respect for Peyton than I do.”
He also added: "My friendship with him over the years, he’s a guy that I can always count on and has been someone who’s always been so supportive of me. We’ll have a lifelong friendship. Truthfully, I don’t put much stock into anything (that’s being reported) ... I’m a big fan and supporter of his.”
The Denver Broncos Quarterback was sidelined during Monday Night Football with a foot injury.
More information is coming out about Charles Sly, the former pharmacy intern who claimed manning took human growth hormone to treat serious neck injuries like the one he suffered in 2006.
Sly, was secretly videotaped in the undercover investigation alleging the drugs were sent to Peyton’s wife, Ashley.
In the documentary, The Dark Side, Sly said: “All the time we would be sending Ashley Manning drugs, like a growth hormone, all the time, everywhere, Florida. And it would never be under Peyton’s name, always under her name.”
On Monday, Manning fired back and told ESPN, saying: “It makes me sick that it brings Ashley into it, her medical history, her medical privacy being violated, that makes me sick. Any medical treatments that my wife receives, that's her business. That has nothing to do with me. Nothing that was sent to her and my wife has used have I ever taken. Absolutely not.”

Sly is backing off all of his hidden camera comments. He took to YouTube to say: “I am recanting any such statement, and there is no truth to any statement of mine that Al Jazeera plans to air.”
Peyton and Ashley were married on St. Patrick's Day, 2001. He met his wife during his freshman year at the University of Tennessee and they have been inseparable ever since.
Peyton Manning vehemently denies he ever used HGH. He told ESPN that the allegations are “completely fabricated.”
