Gillian Anderson says she was offered less than co-star David Duchovny for this year's 'X-Files' reboot.
Actress Gillian Anderson says she was offered half of what co-star David Duchovny was earning to star in the X-Files reunion.
The actress spoke out as the six-episode mini-series premiered on Sunday night on FOX.

“As usual, they [had] come to me with half of what they want to offer David," she told The Hollywood Reporter.
During her tenure on the show from 1993 until 2002, the actress who played FBI agent Dr. Dana Scully, fought a similar battle to get equal pay.
She was able to negotiate the same fee as Duchovny for the 2016 reboot but told The Daily Beast that she was disappointed she had to go through it.
"It was shocking to me, given all the work that I had done in the past to get us to be paid fairly," she said. "I worked really hard toward that and finally got somewhere with it."
Anderson said fans over the years have expressed their shock that she had to fight to get the same pay as Duchovny.
"Even in interviews in the last few years, people have said to me, 'I can't believe that happened, how did you feel about it, that is insane.' And my response always was, 'That was then, this is now.' And then it happened again! I don't even know what to say about it,” she said.

Anderson won an Emmy portraying Scully in the hit show which also spawned two films, 1998's X-Files: Fight the Future and 2008's X-Files: I Want to Believe.
When INSIDE EDITION reached out to FOX to speak on the matter, they replied with "no comment."
